Anniversary Weekend
Friday, September 30, 7:30 pm
A Night of Musical Praise and Celebration
We will enjoy a FREE concert in the sanctuary with some excellent musicians performing a sacred/classical concert
around the theme “Great is Thy Faithfulness”. The featured performers are: Ron
Matthews (former music director at Calvary), Erikson Rojas, the Harvey String
Ensemble, Bill Edgar and his jazz group Renewal and the incomparable singer, Ruth
Naomi Floyd, pianist Sam Hsu and Kristine Biller Mattson. Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the concert.

Community Block Party
We are planning some fun activities on the church property with games and food that
will provide an opportunity to meet families from the neighborhood in a relaxed and
playful atmosphere.

Sunday, October 2, 9:30 am
A Day of Celebration
The Adult class, including our Junior and Senior
High students, will meet in the sanctuary at 9:30 am for a special service of thanksgiving and
reflection with former and present members taking part in telling the stories of God’s
faithfulness to Calvary. Rick Brown will bless us with posters and pictures covering
seven decades of Calvary’s life. Children's Sunday School will meet as usual.
Our 11:00 AM service of worship will include former Pastors (George Smith, Jeff
Hutchinson and Gregg MacDougall) taking part in leading us, and a sermon on “The
Glorious Company of the Redeemed”. Many of our musical groups will take part in
this service. Be prepared for this service running a bit longer than usual. The day
will finish with a brunch for our church family. A highlight of the celebration will be
the signing of a 75th Anniversary Church Covenant to pledge our ongoing support of
Calvary into the future.
