Frequently Asked Questions

We're glad you are interested in Calvary Presbyterian Church. We have a Welcome Center in our Sanctuary Lobby where we hope to make you feel welcome and provide you with a thank you gift for visiting us. Let us know if we can assist you during your visit; we want to share the love of Christ with everyone who walks in our door.

About Our Beliefs About Our Worship Services About Our Community What does your church believe about Scripture?
We believe that the Bible is God's word and that it provides everything that we need in order to know God and His desire for our lives.

What do you believe the Scriptures teach about God?
We believe that there is one holy, triune God who has created everything that exists. Because mankind is trapped under the curse of sin, our heavenly Father planned from all eternity to send His Son, Jesus Christ, to be born of a virgin, live a perfect life, and die for our sins on the cross. Jesus was raised from the dead and now sits enthroned in heaven, upholding all things by His word, but He has sent the Holy Spirit to call people to faith in God and give us strength to persevere in this broken world. We eagerly wait for the day in which Christ will return, ushering in the new heavens and the new earth, when all of His followers from every corner of the earth will live in perfect peace and holiness in the presence of our God.

What should I wear?
There is no dress code; wear whatever you would feel comfortable in while worshiping our Holy Father. Most of the congregation dresses in "business casual," but jeans are not an uncommon sight around the Sanctuary.

What are the sermons like?

Our preachers work through entire books of the Bible over the course of a few months in order to show us the varied themes in Scripture, bringing out the heart of the gospel and showing its relevance to our daily life.
