Youth Ministry
Junior High is for grades 6 through 8.
Senior High is for grades 9 through 12.
Who are we?
The youth group at Calvary Presbyterian Church is an extension of the ministry of the larger church at Calvary PCA. We want to fulfill the mission of the church:
"Filled to overflowing by the love of Christ, we
will build a healthy church, committing the
resources God has given us to
advance Christ's kingdom, flooding Willow Grove and the surrounding communities
with the gospel of grace and reconciliation."
Our leaders are Andy and Myriam Hertzog (for Senior High) and Darren Bacon (for Junior High)
Andy and Myriam met in 2003 and were married in 2004. They have two small children and live in Abington PA. Andy works as a Product Manager for Amerigas Propane in their Marketing Dept. In addition to caring for their children, Myriam works part-time for CCEF in Glenside, PA doing Customer Service. They have been working with the youth for four years.
Darren Bacon lives in Blue Bell PA and works as a Science Teacher for Lakeside Educational Network. Darren is married to Ellen and they have a son, Nathan. Darren has also been working with the youth for 4 years.
What is our Mission?
We want our youth to know Christ—through the ministry of the Word (in Bible Study/Small Group/Sunday School) and the participation and communion with the rest of the church in worship, fellowship, service and evangelism. We desire to see our youth encounter Jesus and share His love and truth both with the local church and the community around them.
