The Grove

The Grove Exists to celebrate the arts by giving a platform to our community artists to share their work and creating a forum to examine the religious and philosophical implications of the arts.

Grove Night at the Movies

Each year, The Grove sponsors the free viewing and discussion of one of the Oscar nominated films of the year. The goal of the movie night is to take a look at a film that the world (or at least Hollywood) promotes as one of the best of its art form and take the time to discern it from a Christian perspective.
What is the film's worldview and how does it compare or contrast to our worldview? A movie is never just a movie. It is presenting a message of some kind to the viewer. It is good for us to look for the message of a movie. This is one way to glorify God while viewing something that perhaps was not made for His glory.
